Question

Ram air or cold air


Im looking for a new intake for my 86 gt and i saw that they have a ram air for it and i have seen cold air intake to and i don't know what i should get so ..... if anyone has any advice pls share

cold air. mounted in the fender well. anything else is just sucking hot air from the engine bay.

ive seen cold air kits that go into the fender and come out under the front bumper but to me it seems like the air has to travel way to far.

ram air i would think would be the best. It is forcing large amounts of air into the motor. The more air the better.

what they call "ram air" isn't really ram air, though. it's just a better filter with a fancy tube. the cold air kits actually draw cooler air

i thought ram air had a box that sealed with the hood that forced air into it.
