Do 5.0l rods come stamped with cylinder # from the factory?

Ok, so I've got the oil pan off the 96 explorer engine I bought. I am pulling it apart to inspect it and clean it up before reasembly. I see that it has the cylinder # punched on the rods and caps. I also have a block, rods and crank from an 89 stang engine and those aren't marked. Did ford mark them at one point? I am curious incase it has been pulled apart before. I didn't know what to look for as far as gaskets go to identify them as original Ford gaskets, but I am thinking they could have been. (I didn't think it had as I was pulling it apart)
Any knowledge on this would help me out.

Im pretty sure that its been opened up before if they are stamped. I have seen rod and main caps that had the cylinder number cast in them which usually means its raised and not stamped.

I had 1 86 5.0 and 1 87 5.0 that were both stamped and I know for a fact that they were never apart. So yes, Ford did stamp some rod /caps.

Just went out and picked up a rod and cap out of another 87 5.0. It's stamped also.

the piston is stamped, looks like a ford replacement piston to me.
its possible the engine was replaced with a short or long block back under warranty.

Then it was replaced at the factory, I've known where that car and engine have been since it was delivered.

I'm not saying anything has been replaced or remanufactured, only that someone stamped the rod. Could have been at the factory or after it sold, but someone did stamp it.
