Opinions?


Iam building a 88 fox for my bro its 347 with afr 185 comp xe cam ebrcok 750 carb i carbed it i know i know the efi lovers are gonna hate that but its easier for more mods...ne way tremec alum dshaft lakewood upper and lower 3.73..any guesses on what she'll do time wise..we will find out soon enough just wanted some opinions thanks

sounds like a nice build.
I would say 11s high 12s with a tire on it.

On a good tire it will run high 10s with ease if you can drive it unless the car is exceptionally heavy. That Edelbrock carb might hold you back though. A carb in general will hold you back if it isn't tuned right. Carbs are not always "easier for more mods" even though that is common advice on the internet.

not to sound like i know everything but i know how to tune carbs well.. i like dealing with them better than efi easier for me atleast..i think i will get mid tens i know a car with dang near same setup and he ran 10.5 so thats my goal .

with a stock suspension...mid 12's...and thats with a decent driver...hook up the car suspension wise and youll see 11's

the suspension is getting UPR and Lakewood same as my 87 and she hooks so iam hoping this one will do the same

How do you figure? I've been in the 9s with stock suspension and 10.5 tires. Many people have gone much faster than that.

High 10s is a walk in the park with a 347. Mid 10s takes a bit more work but is definitely doable. If you are stuck on using a carb I'd ditch the Edelbrock for a Holley HP. Edelbrock carbs have pretty disapointing performance.

i already bought a 750 ed brock we will see how it does if it is junk i will get the holley..what suspensioin do u reccommend,,,lakewood.....UPR...for uppers and lowers and shocks

Team Z Motorsports or Baseline suspension uppers, lowers and anti roll device and Strange shocks. I wouldn't use anything else.
