supercharger engine help

I have been struggling to make the perfect build for the money and for what i want. I wanted to build up a 306 with my buddy, and it doesn't seem like i can get what i want out of it with just those cubes. So what i am thinking about doing, is making a low compression (around 8.5 or 9, you tell me) motor with ported aluminum gt-40 heads and intake with a custom cam for the job and putting a blower on it. Does the kenne bell twin screw take place of the upper Intake? if not there is no way i am getting hood clearance, here comes a cowl (hopefully not). I would only want 6-8 psi, i would need 42 pound injectors, a nice electric fan, a new fuel pump.. What else? How much horsepower am i looking at to the wheels with this and of course full bolt ons?

Looking to buy used in great shape superchargers PM ME

if the KB S/C's for the 5.0's are like the ones for the 4.6/5.4's it takes place of the intake manifolds and the throttle body attaches to the port of the supercharger. i assume youre going with the 2.1L standard or blowzilla S/C since thats the only two listed on their site.

as for horsepower, its a shot in the dark and probably a lowball but im thinking 400-425 crank horsepower.

from the looks of that i think it takes place of the upper manifold, my bad on the first post. hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

you could also go with a turbo kit or centrifigul s/c kit

i think a member of this site makes a really good turbo kit for fox bodies for around 2,900 bucks

A roots type charger is going to add a lot of torque to a motor that already makes a good deal of torque on its own. I personally think a centri blower is your best bet with these cars.

Yes KB replaces only upper. And fits under stock hood perfectly. The install is just as easy as replacing the upper, only one existing hole needs to be drilled bigger and minor grinding. Is says on instructions that you should cut the ac hoses, but theres no need, i didn't even evacuate my ac. Just bended the lines.

I know that turbo makes most power, but you can have very much hp with twin screw also, and the instant boost + easy installation finally turned my head, havent regretted.

Most of the guys running the KB setup run out of steam at about 400 hp.

response is definitely better. So it really depends on what you want to do.
