Roller Tip Rockers vs Stock?

I was brainstorming everything I could before installing any new heads and I wondered about roller tips rocker arms. I can't find any literature about them online, even on MM.

So what's the story? Do they offer performance gains? Any idea how much? Jegs has some sets $160 - $210 for 302, 1.6 ratio. Also, what is the stock stud size for a 90 5.0 HO? Just something I'd rather do in one shot since I'm at school for 9 months out of the year and my tinkering time is limited.

Thanks.

Roller rockers do offer little gains, but not much. They actually help the valve train run cooler because of less friction. Yes, they're worth it. I have a set of trickflow twisted wedges heads on my car and trickflow 1:7 roller rockers. They do add more torque.

BTW, I will be selling my rockers soon or trade for a set of 1:6s. Mine only have about 3k on them.

Roller tip rockers reduce wear on the valve tip but don't offer any horsepower gains. A true roller rocker with a roller fulcrum and roller tip like 88Horseman said will gain you a few horsepower thru reduced friction.
