342 question

I know if you put standard pistons on a 347 crank it's a 342. Will the stock pistons work if i can get the crank free. Thanks let me know I'm praying it will as I have the hook on the crank and the the motor is sitting bare to the block right now lol. Let me know guys thanks.

What about rods? And im not to sure on the pistons i guess they would as long as you are not using 5.315 in rods since the wrist pin hole is moved.

do it the right way, .030 over unless you have a brand new aftermarket block, the 342 or 347 utilizes longer rods 5.315 in or 5.4 in, and a 3.4 in stroke crank. You cannot just throw a crank in there and say you have a 347 or you will have a piston that is way down in the cylinder even at tdc.
