fan shroud


did ne one put thier shroud back on when they converted to electric fan? does it help any?

i know that with the stock fan cooling is decreased without it, since the air movement from the fan is not centered on the radiator... but im not sure if its differnet with an electric fan... dont most electric fans come with their own shroud anyways?

you should be fine then... there is a small shroud on you fan too, i can see it a lil in ur sig. BTW, did u notice any difference from the stock fan to electric?

wieght, and yea it does seem to rev a bit easier a little bit more throttle response. i think it was worth the 30$ i spent on it

oh wow thats pretty cheap... i think ima gonna have to do that same thing real soon. looks better too than that big stock shroud, but i got mine painted to make it look purty lol

i barrowed my friends dremel and used a permanent marker and just eyed were i thought needed to be cut and just cut way at the little mini shroud that is around the fans then i did the zip tie thing and it holds firm so....

I put in an electric fan without the shroud....works great

im gonna have to go electri very soon then, i've only been hearing good things... the only thing that has been holding me back is the wiring. How difficult is it and what must be done to wire the right way?

you have to wire in a relay but that is really simple.

No shroud with an electric fan. Every electric fan I've seen has a shroud built in.
