Two Questions...

1. I went to the dyno last weekend. I put down 210 hp / 248 tq. Should i really expect anymore than that from the mods i have listed in my garage link (in the sig)

2. Lately when driving at night the headlights cut out randomly. Just the headlights though, not the dash lights or instrument panel lights. What should i check first? (one note, if i keep the high beam lever pulled all the way back all the time the lights do not cut out)

Thanks in advance,

Matt

1. probably. if you're getting say 15% loss, that's like 247 at the ole crank. 20% loss would be over 260 hp. i don't know how much loss is to be expected though.

2. my '86 does the exact same thing. i'm thinking it has to be the switch on the column.

the dyno sounds about right

youll start seeing bigger gains in power with aftermarket heads and a custom grind cam, and depending on your c/r and the miles on your motor, a 347 stroker kit since its already a 306

what will it take to get around 300ish to the wheels?

1.set of heads (will sending my heads to get worked - port/polish/bigger valves- be good enough, or will i notice a bigger difference from buying some TFS heads?)
2.custom grind cam (estimate on cost please)
