if you have a hatch back go with the 3inch all the way into a dump and call it a day, ive been thinkin about coming past the trans then going into a 45 and dumping it out twards the side of the car just b4 the rear tires |

The stock size mufflers (if you plan of having those) exit very close to the axles which puts it past the start of the back tires. You would have to curve the exhaust back forward first and then bend it down as well or angle it down, not sure how that would look. Even without the mufflers, the factory location has the exhaust is few inches higher than the outer body of the car. The exhaust would be hanging lower then anything else back there at that point and very close to your floorpans. It can be done but it would take more then just a 45 or a 90 piece of pipe.

i have flowmasters 3 inch kit , it fits just as good if not better then the factory exhaust and i don't have any clearance issues, here's a pic
![]() here's what it sounds like http://www.youtube.com/v/HcD354133Ac&hl=en the only downside is that it's too loud to pass inspection here in delaware but since it bolts to the shorties it's very easy to swap the stock stuff on to go thru inspection, i've always ran an off road h pipe in the past and i had to swap it out anyways so this is no big deal for me anyway, btw the sound more then makes up for the little bit of hassel every 2 years |

You won't notice a difference between 2.5" and 3" on a mild car. Save the extra money and get the 2.5" system. Dumps are going to be annoying if you do alot of street driving unless you are deaf. They are especially annoying if you run Flowmaster or similar mufflers. Your best bet is a Magnaflow cat back. Magnaflow mufflers make more power than any other muffler on the market and don't have that annoying drone that Flowmaster and similar mufflers have.
