How did you get the top nut off? I've tried 3 or 4 times and ended up darn near stripping that grove out.
BTW, I have no air tools, so if it can't be done with regular hand tools I'm screwed.

I have the cash for brand new suspension, but I'm going with a new motor and fi first.
8( my shocks aren't terrible but my frotn end slams down hard on any pothole. Lucky you. I was ganna get the kyb shocks and struts with steeda lowering springs. Any ideas on a place to just buy struts?

From underneath, I moved the plastic protective boot out of the way and attached a pipe wrench to the shaft of the strut to hold it from spinning, then a socket and a breaker bar to the nut on the top. The pipe wrench on the shaft will tear up the shaft and ruin the strut it but you are replacing it anyway. Maybe not the easiest way but it worked.

I have my front springs from h&r and tockico on my vert and the catconverts are about 3 inches off the ground. I should have stuck with the H-pipe that came with the car(not stock)

Just out of curiosity what made you decided to go with the lakewood 90/10's over the more streetable 70/30's???
I'm going lakewood up front to and I was going to g with the 70/30's so I'm j/c....

well i was going to get the 70/30 but i pushed buy it now on the 90/10's so i just stuck with them... it drives great it seems to be very streetable. i kept them cause they are better for launching and my car will be at the track more then a typical street car.
