is there something wrong with my new intake?


well i just got my intake,rear shocks,and spacer in today and the lower intake (trickflow track heat) looks like someone grinded it to fit the fuel rails or something but it is supposed to be new???

If your refering to were the fuel rail crossover is in the front of the intake that is done by TFS for clearence with the dizzy and fuel crossover.

e3sean...You are correct in your assumtion. That little piece is a heat shield for the fuel crossover it wraps around the crossover and gets tucked into the ground out notches.

Man is TFS getting there intakes cast in China or what, those runners look very rough, maybe it's just the pictures, but I'd go down those runners with some sanding/polishing bits before slapping that thing on there.

that is correct and i had the same question when i got mine till i put it in and saw that it went there.. but have fun tryin to tighten down the 2 nuts that are under the plentum.. i have the biggest problem with that.. i called tf and they said you can get a 5/16 12 point swivel head socket from snap on but i dont have access to the snap on truck that drives around lol.. gl

its just the picture.. thy are actually pretty smooth for being stright from the factory.

lol no b/c the nut is on top of the flange on the manifold.. did you also buy the longer studs for the 1" spacer?

no but i can get them from a speciality bolt store over here

mine isnt rough its smoother than the stock one. i am sure a polishing wouldnt hurt though
