Heating Vents

after changing the heater core (and learning new cuss words) I have defrost and floor vents. I did see the 2 cables on each side of the heater box but I didnt know if they hooked to somthing or if I forgot hook a vacume line up or what but I cant get any air to come through the face vents. any one else do this 2?

Learning new cuss words...I have done that before man. I am right there with you. I have said some crazy stuff and my dad just laughs and that pisses me off even more.

The cable goes to the temperature selection. The other crap is vaccum controled, of course except for the fan speed.

There is one yellow vaccum line that you may have left off. It is easy to do. It is attached to one of the door vents. I am going to guess with a 90% certainty that you have left off that line. It is Waaaaaay up under the dash closer to the drivers side, but still in the middle. Hopefully you noticed this before you put back the radio and center console. You did, right, huh, well, if you didn't, you now will have a more detailed knowledge of the dash.

Good luck, hope this is the problem, and let us know. It is nice to find out if anything I ever offer helps.

P.S. If you include the type of ride you have, or even better put it in your profile, it helps us to help you. I looked back and saw you had a 88GT, so no need to tell me, it is just like my ride.

I can picture the vaccum line right now......... Look for Yellow, I almost bet you it is that one, but if not, it should be one of them not hooked up properly.
