yes, as long as they are not cleveland heads...make sure you get a 351 intake as well

No you don't use a 351w intake. The 351w heads are the same as 289 / 302 heads. Running an F cam and with larger valves, you should definately check for piston to valve clearance. Not sure if you'd have problems or not, though it'd be close either way.

that is correct they are the same...I was thinking of using a 351W block...if you use a 351W block then a 289-302 intake will not work...my bad

Yes they will fit but you will need a bushing to reduce the head bolt size from 1/2" to 7/16". What year are the heads? If they are not 69 351W heads you are wasting your time because a 5 liter (E7) head will out flow it. Your best bet would be to get a set of GT40P heads of a 97 1/2" or newer Explorer.

A 351C is a small block and yes the heads will work on a 302 block but you will need pistons specific to the Cleveland head (Boss 302 pistons) and an intake designed to fit those heads (Boss 302).

you can look at the casting number on the heads...particularly the first two characters...

for example:

C6=1966
D3=1973

and so forth

more important is the casting date which will be something like this 8B16 and usually has circles on both sides that look like screws. just an example from my D4AE 351w block.

8 = year
B = month
16 = day
