NOS Question

I just purchased a NOS 5115 kit for my 90 5.0. The kit is telling me to drill and tap into my throttle body. I would reather not since I just put on a BBK 70mm. Can I mount it to the intake tube??

Since I am still using the stock plastic intake tubing, how would I attach it so that it will not come out? I am sure trying to thread it would not work all that great.
