Well, heres my take. Ditch all the emblems, including the Ford Oval on the front bumper cover (i think its recessed, so you'll have to fill it). Convert to 5 lug, 4-way disc with powder coated black cobra calipers (to eliminate the white cobra lettering). 17" Charcoal Bullitt wheels, with polished lips. Definately drop the car for an aggressive stance to compliment the wheels.

Leave the stock hood.

Blacked out interior. (I'd swap in interior from an 87-93 car, and run an 87-89 steering wheel), but you dont have to go that far. I'd get "Bullitt" stitched into the seats in silver. I would even go as far as to track down an '01 Bullitt gauge cluster, or one from a Mach 1, same thing, and trim the fox dash (if you used an 87-93) and make them look factory. Once again, you dont have to go that far, but it would be way different than what most people do.

Paint the car Black, or Highland Green.

87-93 LX Tail lights (because the 86's we're the same ones the 93 Cobras use, and people might compare that).

IF you want to use emblems, i would track down a set of 99-04 "GT" badges, instead of the 5.0s. To top it off, track down an '01 "Bullitt" badge and locate it on the back of the trunk lid... passenger side.

Im out of ideas now. The main idea of the Bullitt is to keep it simple, and less flashy than the GT and superior models, but still have good power. Hope this gives you some cool ideas.

Stand out? In a Fox based Bullitt? First off, in the movie, Steve McQueen wanted low key and out of sight. So no badges. Maybe a Bullitt badge on the trunk lid. Highland Green, Black, or True Blue (for something a little different), and as stated before, the correct wheels. I might go as far as reskin the front for the single headlight look from the '87-93 cars. Interior needs to be black. Probably easier to have the guages rescreened, as swapping the '01 guage cluster would need the computer and harnesses to make it work.

There have been a few Fox based Bullitts done, and when done properly, they are nice.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

We're on the same page.

Oh, and by the way. The 01 gauges are not electronic, so wiring them to work is easy. The ECU isnt required. Although, you are right.. the harness for the cluster is needed. I used an '00-'01 GT cluster on my last '91 GT. I was able to splice and wire the cluster in to work, without needing the ECU. The cluster is mechanical, so its just a matter of modifying the harness.

I like the 4 eye look, they are unique and it makes the early 80's Stangs, i like them alot personally. I would keep them, but thats just me.
Also i really like the green you have on it now, but your gunna repaint it something else?

do they make the terminator cobra hood for your year i know they make them for later fox cars but it has the extractor vents similar to the original bullit plus upr makes a billet fuel door for the bullit look
