Will a "86" GT Hatch Fit on "87" GT?

Hey guys im working on getting my car on the road and wanted to replace the rear hatch on my 87 GT and i saw a good deal for an 86 GT hatch w/ glass and was woundering if it would for sure fit? And what about the wing? I wanted to put my 87 GT wing on it, will it fit or no or can i just bondo the other holes if there are any before i repaint it or is it way more complex? Finall with the 3rd light connect with out issues or do i have to rewire anything? Thanks got the help guys. I dont wanna drive and buy it and find out it doesnt fit. Thanks for any help! - The Novice.

Any guesses on anything?
I know the wing from the 86 GT is Diff from the 87 GT But will it not fit at all or look wierd ( example like would it push the 87 wing too far in and not look flush with the hatch edge? Well comments help, thanks guys!

you can use the hatch yes. the 86 gt spoiler is the same as the 87-93 LX spoilers. Look Better IMO

Ok thanks, but since mine is an 87 GT not an LX will the GT wing still fit or will there be open holes left? Hopefully not
Finally the 3rd brake light should connect no problem correct?
Thanks for the help!

Perhaps but my Dad used to have a 86. So im burnt out on those style wings No not really but i think it would look kinda dumb with an aftermarket hood and the GT style ground kit dont you?

I agree that it looks better.

But to put the 87+ gt spoiler on that hatch, you will have to fill up a bunch of holes. NOT WORTH IT. just use the 86gt/87+ lx spoiler

it might look dumb. but it would look better if ya just take the ground effects off and throw and LX or 4 eyed front end on it FTW
