Fuel Sending Unit

does any one have a fuel sending unit for an 88 5.0 kickin around i went to a bunch of places and most of them didnt have it and the places that could order it was 130 dollars and it was part of the fuel pump assembly but my sending unit is seperate from the pump and its located in the top middle of the tank. i need a functional gas gauge because i ran out of gas 2day luckily it was in my drive way.
