Dude, removing the power steering pump is just like removing all the others. Why do people ask such questions. Go out and take a good look at your pump. Look at the bolts holding the pump, remove the bolts holding the pump. Should be to bolts. I removed all of my stuff last night so it's not hard. If yours is connected to the water pump bolt, then take the bolts out to gain access to get the ps off. NOT THE WATER PUMP ITSELF, just the bracket side

It's really hard to drive with no p/s pump....harder than a manual steering rack, plus you may ruin your p/s rack. If you're gunna take off the pump, get a manual rack kit.

Naa I didn't go crazy... (Sorry, I wasn't mad) but gee wizz. The bolts are dead in front, you should see how that works. I am pulling my motor for the first time in my life and I haven't asked a question other than "Can I pull it without the tranny".

Sorry dude, I wasn't mad but you see the bolts holding the p/s, you should see how but to answer your second question, no, you don't need a delete kit if you remove the pump. I assume you are moving to manual steering. If not, keep your power steering. Same for the rest, if you remove your a/c and smog pump, all you have to do is grab some string or a long sheet of tape, go and route it to the pulleys as if it was a belt to get your measurements. Then take that to your parts store and ask for a belt a size smaller than what you measured (To compesate for the tensioner)

OR you can be like me and get the alternator bracket that has the bolt and nut that allows you to tighten the belt that way. THen no more tensioner.

Why would someone do such a thing? I can understand the smog and a/c, but the p/s?

Yeah sorry again man. But yeah, just get a shorter belt and you'll be fine. also it seems that you are doing this because someone told you that you lose horsepower and making to much drag or some shit like that. Don't remove your p/s pump as you need that. If you do decide to go that route, please consider the manual steering so you won't have to go work out everyday because you're not strong enough to fight the steering everyday LOL.

Plus I wanted to add if you are going to do what you're doing, go ahead and op in the extra 50 bucks and snag an electric fan so you can rid if the clutch fan.
