can i add a supercharger safely


i need some help i just had my 94 5.0 motor rebuilt and it is strong i did:
a ford racing 347 stroker kit
motor bored 30over
edlebrook performer rpm heads
1.7 cobra roller rocks
x303 cam
corba upper and lower intake ported and polished
30lb injectors
bbk longtube headers
bbk x shorty pipe
sniper tune and chip
i want to know if my block can handle a supercharger and what kind of power do you think im making and what will i make , thanks for the help

sure it can. boost around 9 pounds easily.

why would you want a supercharger? your probly makin mean power as is

Fender well cold air intake, 3:73's, eibach springs, 65mm TB, electric fans, 3g upgrade, smog delete, advanced timing, MSD cap and rotor, ford racing 9mm plug wires, 75mm Pro-M MAF, flowmaster sieres 40 delta flows

Assumming he is making around 400 HP now, 9 PSI would put him around 650 hp. Not what I would consider safe on a stock block, but then again, mine is holding up so far.

more power is always better thats about what i realy want then im done 600hp

post some pics of your engine.

you'll be able to take at least 9psi

what do you think my set up would make N/A ?

dss built 306 w/ forged internals
1.7 roller rocker/lifters
24#inj ( i know I know)
Holley sytemaxII kit
bbk shorties
prochamber
electric fan(mark8 soon to be installed)
aluminum driveshaft
lunati (sp?)
Paxton sn2000 making 6-8psi

the trans already took a shit on me lol, and the car is a the shop it should be done by friday and ill put some up, but ya i have all forged internals to

Well he has a 347 with performer rpm heads a healthy cam and decent intake, it should make at least 400 hp flywheel.

You have a 306 with holley heads, intake and cam? That should make about 350 at the flywheel, add the 7 PSI and you should have 450-500 hp at the flywheel if the sn2000 can keep up.

oh I thought he ran a 5 liter which I guess is why my guess was low.
the sn2000 will be getting replaced after I bend the impellers thanks !

340 RWHP
500 ish with 7#'s of boost.
550 with 9#'s


(based on 15% loss through the drive train)

if you hate your motor than throw boost on it because your gonna be putting close to what diesels run in compression
