kenne bell for fox

Why dont i ever see 5.0's with kenne bells? they are always paxtons or vortechs.. Wouldn't it be more fun to have a twin screw on a car with tons of torque down low anyway? I always thought the centri would hurt the 5.0 low end torque.

I'm gonna say because the gearing is already short on a fox.
I've seen KB 5 liters tossed in Miata's though.

I love my KB - the car pulls like it has half of the demons in Hell chasing it.

I never could understand that either. Its one of my "wish list" things for the car

I had a KB on my 91 and loved it, but after having a procharger on my 06 I want to give that a whirl on my 91...

All F/I cars are fun. I think biggest reason for going with centri is price, KB is bit on pricey side. Centris dont hurt low end torque, they just dont make boost at low gears. Well, maybe a bit of parasitic loss, but i dont think that is much, if any.

Also its easy to add intercooler with centri. Not so easy with KB.

Its nice to be different, so i dont mind if people chooses centris or turbos over KB. Everyone seems to think differently about superchargers. But to me KB is the best supercharger.

A local guy had a KB on his GT. He then switched to a Vortech S trim. The car went way faster with the S trim. I think the KB is a good street set up because it seems like the boost is there as soon as you touch the throttle with twin screw blowers.

Jim Bell is a fantastic guy. The superchargers he offers are top notch. The only problem with the 5.0 setup, is its lack of diversity. It can only be used with 2 lower intakes, and both of those lower intakes are not the best in terms of airflow capability. Another major dent in their 5.0 program, is the fact they only offered two superchargers for a span of 15 years (now only one supercharger). That goes back to their lack of diversity.

Vortech, Paxton and Procharger offer a slew of different supercharger head units, and bracketry for nearly an unlimited amount of applications, that will work with nearly any intake and head configuration imaginable. This is far more appealing to performance minded enthusiasts, than just one supercharger, that only works with 2 specific lower intakes. If Kenne Bell would focus on the 5.0/5.8 guys like they focus on the mod motor guys, then i think we'd see more KB blown 347s, and 408s making 850rwhp on pump gas, and 800lb-tq at 3000rpm. Until then, expect to see the centri's dominating the street and track.

Properly sized and A/R'd turbo will make same down low torque
and more top end power than the KB, for less money ...................

Twin Screws are cool, but turbos are the bomb

Yeah, the biggest thing is cost, for a KB price you might as well do a turbo set up.

The other thing is KBs seriously lack top end power
