Vibration above 3k
I have vibration above 3k in every gear (Tremec 3550). I have 3:73's, but they were there when I got the car. Could this be my gears?

How about 3k rpm when not moving or moving at a decent speed while in neutral. Any difference there? U-joints, driveshaft and rear gears problems should not be related to a certain engine rpm, they move proportional to the cars speed, not the engines speed.

+1. If the vibration leaves and comes back everytime you shift gears and throttle up, it's somewhere between the harmonic balancer and the input shaft of the trans. U joints could cause a similar vibration that would seem to get worse when the shaft is put under heavy load and then calm down when going at a constant speed but it would still be there when ever the shaft is rotating.

The vibration is at & above 3k, whether I'm in 1st doing 30, or 4th doing 45. I can rev it up when it's out of gear, and the vibration is there above 3k. So now I'm guessing it's not the u-joint?
