Dropping rear end

Im getting ready to install some lower torque box reinforcements, upper/lower control arms, and weld my upper torque boxes. In order to weld the uppers I believe I need to drop the rear end. I have yet to crawl under it and look at what all is involved, and if it wasnt dark out I probably would do it now. If anyone has a link or could tell me what all is involved in dropping the rear end it would be greatly appreciated. Also about how long is it going to take?

Thanks

yes you will need to drop the rear end to weld the uppers. if i remember correctly you will need to disconnect the brake lines, shocks, control arms and drive shaft. i might be forgetting something but im tired and cant think so good. its pretty self explanatory when you are looking at it

to get the upper bolt of the lower control arm out you have to cut your exhaust. Make sure you you have a breaker bar and some penetrating oil. this site helped me alot and I did it by myself

FORDMUSCLE.com webmagazine - Performance Suspension Control Arms

the sway bar was the biggest pain when it came to putting it back on.
