statements as to value are erroneous. Early Cobras do net more than "plain jane Mustangs".
Your statements that 93 is the first Cobra is also wrong. You would be right if you said 93 was the year for the first "SVT" Cobra.

I also ran this buy the guys at foureyedpride.com because obviously they know more about those model cars than ppl here.

They tell me ...the '84-'92 GTs sold in Canada. Every single one of them were marketed and sold by Ford as a Cobra GT.

The US cars, werent titled COBRA though. They were like Darrel said though. They were an optional package. Not a model. But still considered to be "COBRAs"

93 was not the first year of the cobra. if it was the 1969 shelby cobra must be one hell of a dream.

if ford marketed it as a cobra, its a cobra, reguardless if its just stickers and ground effects. i know there wasnt any performance or handling gains over the regular gt, but ford still sold it as a cobra.

A Cobra and Cobra package are two different things. I wasn't disagreeing that there was a Cobra package. Yes all of those Canadian GTs are titled Cobra GT. I had one a couple years ago and it wasn't worth a penny more than an american Mustang GT because it is the same exact car. There is a big difference between a canadian GT and a Cobra. Big difference.

As far as the Shelby Cobra comment, now we are really reaching. Shelby wasn't a Ford production line, it was a third party just like Saleen, Roush, etc. I guess I've never heard the term Shelby Cobra referring to a Mustang before. I know all of the GT350s and GT500s had a Cobra badge on them since 1965 but I've never heard someone refer to a GT350 or 500 as a Cobra. If you want to get technical the first Cobra was the AC Cobra but it is not even in the same class as a Mustang much less any resemblance to one. There was also a Torino Cobra but once again, totally different car.
