Yes I did. I used a "manbag" style vinyl (breathable) bag lined with alu foil. I secured the strap around the plenum.

dry ice is carbon dioxide. Your motor would probably die.

I could see it seeping out of the bag. its also water vapor that is emmitted too. The bag really didden't get "that cold". mabe the same temp as an Ice bag, I could handle it without adverse effects. I have a fenderwell intake, and the vapor is minute anyway.

Dry ice is frozen CO2 so if your sucking that gas into ur motor it will def bog it down.

Theres no water vapor in dry ice, it goes straight from a gas to a solid, You may see water from codensation of water vapor naturally in the air but not from the dry ice.

I understand that. But the truth is: I did it. It worked. I understand the properties of dry ice, (thanks to ryans88gt, and wickapedia).

I just read about that, sorry. All you smart guys, I know some of you had to take a thermodynamics class or too, I diden't put the stuff directly on my intake, It was insulated, and vented, and it did not evaporate at an astonishing rate, so I would guess that the transfer of temperature was slowed.
