I was thinking gt-40 heads, trickflow track heat intake and E-cam. Or is that a bad setup?

gt-40 heads dont flow nearly as good as the trick flows and the e cam is outdated but would work good with your combo... but you would get alot more power out of my combo...

Endless possibilities. How much money do you have to spend and how much horsepower are you looking to make?

YouTube - Mustang with X303 cam
Must be a former 4 cylinder car. The rpm doesn't match the tach. Nice sounding idle though.

edelbrock makes great power, they have a new roller cam for the rpm set up...i had 10.5 comp and edelbrock 60259 heads,kd 150 domes, and roller rockers,xe comp cam,rpm intake and made 387 hp atfly...trick flow is nice just you are limited on ya heads with the twisted chambers,no domes, but are great.....rhs heads are good, for the $ world has great heads and make good power without emtying ya pockets..ford cams are ok but outdared get better with comp, crane, insky, erson ect..

Two thumbs up for the TFS lineup. Easy 300+ to the tires with the stock short block.

there are plenty of good heads (afr, canfield, trickflow etc...) same with intake and cam, but it's like darrell says every single time, how much do you want to spend and how fast do you want to go

that x cam sounds mean.

ive got the similar question.
money aint a thing.
i want 450+ to the rear wheels.

im thinking.
probably will be a 331 or even a 351w,stroked and forged.
cams with a .600+ lift and a .300+ duration.
afr 185cc heads.
victor jr intake.

what ya think?

i want a torquey beast.

why a 331 instead of 347?

i would go the 351w stroker route, no replacement for displacement

Here are some more idle videos.

This is the stage 2 Trick Flow cam. Please disregard the messy generic spark plug wires. When plug wires are on back order you have to use what you have laying around...

This is an AFM N-71 cam. At the end of the video you can here the idle.

I had a few more but I can't find them.

i was thinking that at first, but ive seen some pretty potent 331s. less tourquey though. as for 351w, thats what im leaning too, the afr heads i want fit it,and the victor jr is a given. any suggestion on a good rotating assebly? im thinking scat 357 stroker kit. theres also the 393 kit

just wondering if there was anything else i should look at. ive been through 3 blueprints for a swap and think ive settled with the tried and true pushrod motor. these mods are just too damn expensive to build up with half the gains of a pushrod.

Call Woody for all of your stroker needs. FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts.

I buy alot of shit from him. He is very knowledgeable and is a hell of a nice guy.
