88 GT build?

i want to know what you guys recommend on my car, its a 88 gt that i picked up for cheap cheap, its still a very streetable car, A/C is ice cold, good sound system, good running car with only 150k miles.

i did a compression test and they all had very good read outs and there was no huge difference between cylinders. i want to make this my track car that i tweak and tune to get the most out of it, like a bidget build, i dont want to sink 3k into a 347 (just yet, maybe a little later) so basically i want to know what you guys think i should do to get the most bang for my buck out of this car, i know first off that i should do the basic bolt ons like pulies, msd coil. maybe a explorer u/l intake, bbk shorty`s, exhaust, gears, mass air conversion, throttle body, maybe some gt-40 heads. and given its a auto maybe drill the valve body.

but as far as forced induction goes, what could i do? because i would like to one day have a pro charged 347, but could i add forced induction to this engine? i know these blocks arent able to hold much over 500hp. but what could i do?

im not one for pulling interior especially cause this one is really clean inside, i dont care how it looks but i dont want it to look trashy either.

so tell me what you think

suspension is one of the best ways to improve your time at the track. i'd do the bolt on mods and take care of the suspension first. then, go for the blower.

that definatly makes sense, and i would probably end up going that route once i started noticing signs of slop in the suspension

but for now what do you think my best route would be? what can this engine take?

basically im asking what are some options? i would like to here opinions before i go diving into anything huge
thanks

i'd start out first with gears. start by getting the power that you currently have to the ground more efficiently. this is going to make a noticeable difference.

gears are something i kind of thought was a no brainer, i also want to get the AOD to be able to put the power to the ground as well, hp shift kit and maybe a converter?

exhaust. if you can get away with it, run an o/r setup. and smog delete.

MAF, fenderwell CAI, U/L intake. injectors, heads, you know.. all the stuff you listed.

i don't know what to suggest as far as certain ones to get. like i said, there are better people to tel you that kind of stuff and steer you in a better direction than i can

How do you feel about nitrous? With the money saved from a blower/turbo, you could address the suspension..

and i have looked into that to, but i feel i would be more happy with always having that power, i used to really think of that as a option but my buddies 03 cobra with a 2.8l kennel bell that puts out about 20 psi kinda changed my mind on that one

he made 610 to the wheels, he had 3 huge fans and a bag of ice sitting on the kenne bell

you know what 20 psi would do to your motor?

i know you weren't saying that you wanna run that. but holy hell. lol. that'd be fun for about 2 minutes.

and upgrading everything else so that theres no wasted power
