Clutch and brake pedal placement

Those two pedals are like 1.5" apart from one another. Is this a common thing in the Fox's?
It makes it really hard to get a good feel for the clutch when I have to constatantly be aware of my feet in relation to the brake pedal.

Got any ideas for moving one further from the other?
I'd like the brake closer to the throttle. It'd be tons easier to go thru the burnout process, not to mention rush hour.
