5.0 vs 5.1 Stroker

Does anyone know anything about the 5.1? Does anyone have it and in a race (if it was the same driver for both vehicle) which would have the advantage? I didn't even realize they made a 5.1. I know I probably sound like Demello, but this is actually something I'm curious about. Thanks in advance!

The 5.1 is basically suppossed to just be a 306, which is just a stock 302 bored .030" over. Did you see the 5.1 badge on 50resto? lol

yea i believe there is an actual stroker kit for the 4.6s but it still brings the cubic inch count to somewhere around 302 (idk why the 5.0 badge is not good enough lol). There is no 5.1 stroker kit for the 5.0 pushrod block though ( tell me the truth, i know you wanna stroke your 88 out to a 5.1!!) lol

They make 5.1 strokers kits for mod motors. That is what the badge is for.

What do you mean does it work with the 5.0 block? A 4.6 stroker kit is made for a 4.6 not a 5.0 they are completely different blocks.

And 302 stroker kits are made for 302's not modular motors.

I am not trying to be mean but i dont see why you guys ask some of the questions you do .

I just thought for some odd reason it might have worked with it. Thats all. I know it would be dumb to add a stroker to the engine and only gain .1 ci thats just dumb lol

.1 liters 4 ci inches See there is no way you could stroke the motor it would still haft to be a 3 in stroke crank, 5.090 rods and 4.030 bore. That would not be stroking the motor that would be boring the motor .030
