normal sounds?


now that there is a muffler on my car its quieter and i can hear this kind of fluttering tic kind of sound, any ideas what it is or if its normal

no she seems to perform right, my engine light is coming on but only after about 15-20 mins of driving and im pretty sure that becuase im still working on my new exhuast.


what exactly whould i be looking for with a sticking lifter or floating valve?

well i know that this isnt a mustang but it sounds nothing like this if this is what a sticking valve sounds like

no way not at all, when idleing with the hood up i have to kind of lean into the driver side to hear it real well (im not sticking my head into the engine bay but i do lean), and i hear it loader when i get on the gas but it quiets down

91Cobra: did u remember to re-tighten your header bolts after the car has been through a few heat cycles? The heating and cooling process will significantly loosen them, which could give you a header leak... which can make some weird sounds

Fuel rail noise? With a quiet exhaust you could hear a real faint ticking sound.
