My car 1989 5.0 LX Hatchback

I bought this car in May '06 from a lady who was using it as a daily driver. She bought the car as it is now.

I dont know a whole lot about Mustangs, so I'm not sure exactly what has been changed and what is factory. However there are several things that are obviously not factory...

The car has been lowered. I don't know how much or by what means, but the front wheels are slightly tucked under the fenders. Also has a large diameter front swaybar but that's probably stock. It had the factory handling package. (rear axle dampers)

It has drilled front rotors, but they are nearing replacement.

Someone had the entire exhaust changed, it has some form of "stainless" headers (they had M.A.G. stamped on them) then 2.5" pipes the rest of the way. NO cats, flowmasters, one on each side, and crome end pipes from the axle back. Smog pump does not have the belt around it, and the lines associated with it are blocked off.

Some form of cold air intake, no name but it is chrome and has blue boots.

Some form of Steeda shifter. (5 speed std.)

Something has been changed with the clutch. There are some extra parts under the car and I noticed a blue anodized aluminum linkage part of some kind under the dash connected to the clutch pedal lever (may be factory) I know that the clutch pedal has to be ALL THE WAY to the floor or else it won't go into 2nd.

Factory? alarm. (PITA) The remote says "Ford" on it and the module has July 1989 for the date on it. Another reason I can't find out how to program another remote for it, its so old.

It had an MSD box on it but it wasn't hooked up. I hooked it up only to find out that it didn't work. I took it out.

I don't know if they all do this or not, but when I start it, it lopes as if it has a mild cam, then after it warms up, it idles smooth.

Factory AC!! Works great!

When I bought it, the car had about 220,000 miles on it. I paid $2100 for it. All in all, its a fun car to drive, and as strange as it might seem, it makes great fuel mileage. I drive it 500 miles a week and the best I've got so far with it was 29.9 mpg on the highway, @ 75 mph with the AC running!! Not bad for a V8!!
