I'd be grabbing the stocker but only because it's the new edge. Get whichever you like to look at more. Your gunna spend money on it anyways so you might as well love it's look.

and about the 1/4mile 5.0 comment...
my car does quite fine from 160 - 220km/h on the highway. How much top end do you want? I'm only a cammed 306.

Fox body convertibles are 100-200 pounds heavier than a similarly optioned GT based on what I have seen on the scales at my local track. As much as 400 lbs heavier than a bare bones LX.
