how about when you do a burnout? Is one tire spinning or both? this is another sign that trac-loc needs to be rebuilt. about 50 bucks i think

I just had to say it, the title of this thread made me laugh.

Let us know what you come up with, but it is probably the trac-loc.

SOunds like your trac lock...Or a f*cked axle...It should not turn with the car in park...

what about axle bearings?? Could this be a cause?? i would think maybe a bad axle bearing, no doubt that it could be the trac lock too, but check those axle bearings, u never know.. I mean the axle bearing isn't going to cause the wheel to spin freely in park but the grinding noise, let us know..

The axle bearings should be replaced when he has to pull the axles out...But I am pretty sure you t-loc is done...

The car is an auto...If the car is in park the transmission will not move...And thus the drive-shaft wont move...And so the rear wheels should not move while in parks becuase if the wheels move the axle moves and that would make the differential move the driveshaft...Which should not move seeing as it is in park...So the diff/tloc in my opinion is the issue here...

Make sure your U-joints in the driveshaft aren't bad. Just put the car in park and try moving the driveshaft back in forth in the direction it rotates. If you have alot of play you need to get new u-joints

well me and my dad had the rear cover off to see if any thing is messed up but everything looked fine besides a little low on gear oil so we put it back together and put fresh gear oil in it and it still does it i would have taken the hole thign apart but since its my only car and im only 17 i couldnt and when i do burnouts i leave two marks not one the nosie gets annoying and i can feel it vibrating the whole car i looked for something rubbing nothing is (thats noticable) it does it and slow speed or high speed turns i put all new brakes on the rear so im pretty sure its not that idk im stumped
