the "TV" cable on my 88 popped off, how to adjust? (trans question)

yes there is an adjustment and it doesn't take much to fuck it up. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to play with an auto yet so I'm no help as to where it needs to be adjusted.
haynes manual?

Video no longer available?
I was wanting to see that one! I do know that if you run it without the cables it can burn your trans up quicker than jack rabbit. Mine popped off one of mine a while back not even 2 miles from the house and it fried it. I had to have it rebuilt. Not sure that the cable was 100% of the problem but it was running fine before that issue happened. In your avatar is that your shop? If so do you have any more pictures of it? Just looking for ideas for our new shop.

You didn't need to adjust it if only the bushing broke. Just replace the bushing and snap the cable back on....Ken.
