New Tires/Wheels

I'm going to be buying some 17x9 blak fr500 wheels. I was wondering what are the best tires to put on them. I thinking of putting 255/40/17 bfg t/a kdw tires on there. I was wondering can I go any bigger? american muscle said 255/40/17 would be the best fitment. are these good tires to get? By the way my car is lowered with eibach lowering springs, i dont know how much its lowered. I think 1.5". Thanks for the help

best thing to do is give ur local rim/tire shop a call. or maybe even bfg dealer... r u just wanting a good riding long lasting tie or are you looking for some major traction? bfg makes a real nice drag radial/street radial tire... but i prefer MT's
