Smog Pump seized!
so im driving down the highway yesturday and my air pump seized which resulted in the belt snapping ( tht i bought 30 minutes earllier) and my engine overheating... should i just eliminate the smog pump since i dont have cats and i live in michigan which means no emissions tests? and how much estimated power can u add if any.

I would yank it off. There is not that much hp gains pretty much just weight reduction.

I personally cut my tube,pinched it then had it welded shut on one of my stangs. No biggie. Smog pumps suck anyways. Either get the delete pully or shorter belt and an O/R midpipe.
