I'm restoring a 302 5.0 1988 and I would like to repaint the engine to make it look like when it came out of Ford. So is there anyone that could tell be the rights color for the differrent components?
Valve cover??? Heads???? Block???? Oil pan??? Thank you for your help

On the 1989 5.0's, were the pistons forged? And if they were, were they flat or dome? I'm trying to rebuild one from a short block but all i can find are cast pistons, and i want the original forged pistons if thats what it had when they came out. I found some forged ones that are dome and flat and i don't know which ones to get.

im working on an 88gt that has a 302 out of a crown vic. I changed out everything from the cam up, and am wanting to throw 100 to 150 shot in it. will the pistons take it??

Thanks for posting up and for the information about it. I was very curious more about on the Cylinder Head Bolt Set that you might have used in different kinds of engine and on it's age. But on your post, I was able to understand it more on the specifications given. Keep it up!

i have an 88 5.0 h.o with accel ign, e303 cam, 24# injectors, larger fuel rail and a cold air intake, and also under drive pulleys . i am wondering what intake would be the best for what i have.

this is very helpful! doing a engine swap in my 91. putting in a 95 engine the distributor cap info helps a lot. I might post some questions soon as I put it all back together since I have no idea what I am doing haha

So I bought a mustang 1991 5.0 Mustang but it was over heating so I replaced the Water Pump but the question I have what should the temperater be in normal driving on the cluster?
