On the 1989 5.0's, were the pistons forged? And if they were, were they flat or dome? I'm trying to rebuild one from a short block but all i can find are cast pistons, and i want the original forged pistons if thats what it had when they came out. I found some forged ones that are dome and flat and i don't know which ones to get.

Thanks for posting up and for the information about it. I was very curious more about on the Cylinder Head Bolt Set that you might have used in different kinds of engine and on it's age. But on your post, I was able to understand it more on the specifications given. Keep it up!

i have an 88 5.0 h.o with accel ign, e303 cam, 24# injectors, larger fuel rail and a cold air intake, and also under drive pulleys . i am wondering what intake would be the best for what i have.

this is very helpful! doing a engine swap in my 91. putting in a 95 engine the distributor cap info helps a lot. I might post some questions soon as I put it all back together since I have no idea what I am doing haha

The only addition I can think of that would make this thread better would be an engine bolt part number list.
