Carb. Tricks


When I swapped my EFI to Carb. I found it difficult to get my old EFI Throttle Cable to work into the new Carb. setup... Any one got any tips for the throttle cable assem. and my be an easy way to hook the carb. up to the gas pedal???

Which intake did you use, Edelbrock usually sends a universal bracket with their intakes. Of course I found out mine was missing from the box after I modified the original V6 bracket to fit.

I had to drill a 1/8" plate in three places to get it in the right position and bolt onto the intake. Patience is a virtue on these things.

I am using a Hollister Manifold w/ a Holly 4110 Carb. No plates or access. were in the box...

Ya, Patience is key... :-)

The cable slipped off on my way to work this morning... Oh well back to the drill press to make a new cable holder... The good news is that the motor is running strong and idle got me home with no worries...

1985 Mustang GT 5liter/5 speed throttle cable. $20 at a parts store.
