i was wondering what all i have to change to put a newer front bumper on a 1982? do i need to replace just the lights or do i need all the under bumper brackets and support other than the ones on the 82



Also the sids 1/4 windows or whatever they call them, are they the same size as the newer ones because im not a big fan of the side window louvers

You need new lights, bumber cover, headlight rienforcement, you also have to splice into the headlight harnes to change over the new light set up. Cant remember if the bumper has to be changed. Its been 15 yrs since ive done a four eye conversion. Maybe someone else will chime in on that. As far as the rear 1/4 windows go their a direct swap not much to it. Just alittle info for ya if you swap the front cover the belt molding is gonna be different from the 82 belt molding and depending if you go GT or lx the front fender spat might be diff. My advise would be to convert the entire body at once or leave it a 4 eye. You dont see to many 4 eye stangs around and if there clean and done nice the are some of the nicest stangs around.
