Idle

i cant get my idle normal. i checked for vacuum leaks didnt find any.i bought a new iac. checked the idle screw. its idles around 1300 rpm i unplug the iac and the idle drops and the car tries to stall. i used the idle screw to set the idle at 600-700 rpm with the iac unplugged and its fine then when the iac electrical connector is put back on the idle shoots right back up.

try and get it closer to .98 or so. If you have to elongate the holes in the tps to get more adjustment. good luck

so i did the whole set the base idle thing it didnt work. i took out the egr plate cleaned the crud out tried to set the idle again. the idle is fine with out the iac hooked up. i set the idle screw but once i plug in the iac the idle goes from 700 to 1300. the iac is brand new. i tried adj. the tps but its a constant 5 volts . one o2 sensor has a wire broke off it so i wanna change the 2 o2 sensors and after that i have no ides. right now i have a steady 700rpm idle with out the iac plugged in .

PISS on the IAC then lol, that is my 2 cents, hell what is the worst that could happen? Does it stay constant when u run the heater or the ac??? It is supposed to help your engine under a load, check these and if it runs great under a load, then run it... U can take my advice with a grain of salt, as I am a newbie lol...
