look what i did today....

i was sitting there driving back from dropping my injectors off to get flow matched and i was thinking what i could do to the car today....then i thought about ryans rear seat delete kit and thought to myself i could build one of those for hella cheaper then 250.00 so i went to home depot and bought a sheet of 1/2" mdf and some carpet cost 40.00 went home and took about 3 hours and this is how it came out. it isnt quite as pretty as the one ryan bought but i built it so i feel better about it.

lol the hardest part is getting the templete right on cardboard to trace onto the sheet of wood.

it wasnt the greatest templete i had to improvise it. just find a huge peice of cardboard and we can make another one.

i think i'm going to do this to mine. seeing as the seats i bought for it came out of a 92 and the back won't bolt up. at least not without getting some more parts for it. i don't need the back anyway.

I've never had a back seat in my hands, how much do they weigh? 1/2 MDF can weigh close to 2.5 pounds a sq ft.

came out nice,.. im interested in learning more,... i was about to do the same thing only stuff a sub and amp in there somehwere. Maybe a hideaway for a bottle,.. got any build plans etc?

the seats are light as crap. i've got one sitting in my living room that i just went over and picked up. the whole thing, seat and backs, can't weigh more than 20 lbs or so.
