AOD to T5 conversion
Im planning on converting my aod tranny to a t5. anybody done this? im pretty much just looking for anyone who might know what kind of problems im going to run into here.

Check the 5.0 sticky Tech articles at the top of this forum, it is a guide I used and was pretty well bang on.
Try and get everything at one time, bellhousing, flywheel, flywheel bolts, drive shaft (automatic should work) clutch pedal assembly, clutch lever cover etc. as I didn't and trying to source all these little pieces took alot of time. Better yet try and find a complete donor car. If changing clutch cable, get the one that adjusts at the firewall, saves alot of crawling under the car to get it right. You will need to wire the neutral lock out and back up lights, my connectors were not the same so I had to do some wire tracing. Good Luck |
