help finding the right cam


my cousin just bought a 89 lx he has bought him a set of gt 40 heads and some mac headers bbk h pipe and flows he says hes gonna get a edelbrock rpm upper and lower and a mac 70mm tb and a c&L 76 mm mass air and some 24 pound injectors the trans in the car is a built aod with a 2600-2800 stall and we put 410s in the rear today hes wanting to know what would be a good cam for this set up im not a expert on cams i just had a custom grind done for my stang so any help would be great thanks

hes looking at a tf stage 1 cam right now or a b303 but will there be any clearence issues with either of these cams also we think it would be best to get the power to roll on about 2800 to 3000 and peak at 5800-6000 because thats about were the trans shifts

i have a set of gt40ps and bought the trickflow cam, ill let you know how the combo works after next weekend, i dont recomend the rpm intake mani though just the regular performer, the reg performers good to 5500, same as the tfs 1 cam

well on my first motor i had gt-40 heads and a trick flow track heat intake... good to like 6500 I think... my tuner reccomended the XE-282 cam... I think its a comp cams product... I never got the cam cause I ran across a stroker kit and built a stroker motor with a custom ground cam...
