a 9 second car is usually something that is barely streetable. maybe if you get an 8-71 blower for that 302 and run like a 250 shot of nitrous you'll be in the neighborhood. Now that stock thunderbird 302 block might not like that too much, but you should be able to get one 9 second run out of it....

I wouldn't go that far. I have alot of experience with many different combinations in Mustangs but I am nowhere near the god status level.

well, i am ase certified engine and emission specialist. i have my whole life dug into automotive. i had a 1988 88 oldsmobile with a 454 and a 2 speed powerglide and a ford f-250 1975-1978 9" stock housing (yes i did break it a couple of times) that was running 8.7 too 9.4 on the 1/4 mile i had around 5-6 grand in the engine.about 2k in the rear diff. the only really expensive thing was the power glide at 6.5k. so i think i now at least something about what im talking. also i just got a 1996 v-6 mustang with a bad,bad miss one the passenger side.

F-250 rear is an 8 lug not a 5 lug!!!

10.5K in the trans?? T5K?? $7K in a F-250 rear end. And if you are this bad-ass engine builder then why did you say you will go 9s with a 550 horse power Roush crate motor that you dont even know will fit in your k-member?? Also if you had a car that fast what was the mile an hour in the quarter? your 60ft? weight of the car??
If you are going to try and talk fast to guys that have been fast for many years you should at least do more homework on what parts are used and some prices close to what each set of parts would cost!!!!

How about some timeslips and videos of this 4400 pound car with a 454 cubic inch engine and a powerglide running 8.70s-9.40s......

That car is way to heavy for a powerglide + horsepower and 8.70s to 9.40s is a real big spread. I don't think I've ever seen a car that inconsistent. I call bs.
