Stock '93 5.0...is this a good cam?

My car is stock except for JBA headers. I am going to upgrade the intake to a GT40 set up and maybe do some heads down the road. Would this be ok to do now without hurting the engine and wil it run good and give better power?

even with heads that cam is not going to net you much of a gain.

if you are goin with a gt40 intake then it should be a nice little cam for a mild build up. it is older technology now most people get the trick flow stage 1 cams for there mild build ups, better cam and better technology, and i beleive a little cheaper.

If you do a h,c,i swap that cam should be perfect. I'd use the afr 165, that will be best with that b-303 cam make good low end torque probably run some 12.10s or so on motor. But that is a good cam to start with. GOOD LUCK!

Thansk for the responses. I guessI am going to wait for a differnt cam and save money for the AFR 165's.

I forgot to mention that this '93 5.0 is in a Mazda Miata so 12.10's...maybe....
