yup, and you can but its never recommended to do a cam without upgrading the 15+ year old springs

you should be able to. remember to check your piston to valve clearence to make sure. and you really should upgrade those springs like 93hatch said

hmmm ok well ill see if i can dont u need a tool to hold the valve while u change the springs out ? and ok so i would have to check valve clearence ? but ok cool well thats what i want and e7's huh are those good heads ? sorry for so many questoins i am just super excited i finally got a 5.0 gt

The 5 liter HO was the engine that came in Mustang GTs and Lincoln Mark VIIs. They have E7TE truck heads, not GT40s. The 93-95 Cobras have GT40 heads. Ford Explorers came with GT40 and GT40P heads. Both GT40 and GT40P heads out flow the Mustang E7TE heads.

wow ok thanks and since u all know alot more then me lol umm does upgrading from stock headers to like bbk shortys make a big difference ? like i dont wanna spend money where i dont need to cuz i am kinda on a budget

longtubes will make you change your h or x pipe I'd say shorty equal length with an x pipe should sound good and pick up the power

jumping from shorties to longtubes doesnt get a massive gain in hp,.. i believe about 4-5 hp or something like that. But like 93hatch said, i'd probably save the cash for headers and spend it on a set of gears or somn.

Its more than that but every car varies. Going from stock shorties to aftermarket shorties is about 4-5hp in best cases. From what I've seen shorties to full length is typically 10-15hp and an equivelant amount of torque.

hmm ok thanks guys thanks alot i didn't know all this stuff .... can i get ur guys opinions on a intake plenum ? upper and lower of course but i wont be doing anything else but exhaust and later down the road probably just a cam so which would be best ? i hear the cobra is the best bet but idk anyway thanks again for all this knowledge
