At one time I found the air temp sensor on my car was faulty. Its the sensor that measures the temp of the intake charge. I have am Anderson Ford PMS and the computer thought the intake charge was 250 degrees all the time it had a major effect on my idle. Replaced the sensor and it idles great

well when I bought my car awhile back when it was stock it was missing. since then I put a 347 crate motor in so I never knew the sensor existed until I took my car to Anderson Ford to get my PMS tuned and they replaced it for me. I have a Spyder intake on my car so it is not in the stock location. It might be somewhere towards the back of the intake manifold. You have to check with someone who has a stock style intake. I am not sure...Sorry
