Aluminum Driveshaft

Is an Aluminum driveshaft a good mod to do? I want to know if this is going to be worth it before I go ahead and pick one up?

if youre lookin to shed weight then yeah. But its not necessary unless you want to be able to say that you have an aluminum driveshaft. And actually not a whole lot lighter than stock. as pricey as they are, I would say no if you still have suspension or performance mods that you want to get done. what HP and TQ are you putting out?

i would, its less mass that the engine has to spin. i know it might not weigh all that much less than the stock one, but its still less weight.

I am gonna be able to get an almost brand new one from someone I know for only about $150, but then again that money caould still be put toward suspension and control arms that I am going to do soon. I just wanted to know if it is going to be money well spent compared to some other mod

The Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft is stronger than the stock driveshaft and it also has 1330 u-joints. It is also 5lbs lighter than the stock driveshaft. 5lbs of rotating weight is a much bigger deal than 5lbs of dead weight. So yes, it is worth it especially for $150.
