v2 strim

Just bought a v2 kit off of a fellow board member. Standard non inner or after cooled, but does have a bypass on it. IT has everything including the fmu. Now do I have everything or would I have to use that msd boost box?

Depending on boost level, does not hurt to have one

A few days ago, sn94 said he was selling a 6A with a two stage boost retard module.

yes you'll need a BTM or a piggy back tuner that can adjust timing with boost.

Well if I keep it to ten and below would I have to?

I still need to buy a maf for 30 pounders, and idk what to get cause I have this huge 4 inch power pype? any help their would be good.

I need to still figure out how to hook my fmu up. I spent so much time just working and saving for parts I haven't had time to do ALL my research. The times comming though gentlman.

hey flattusmaximus, I just recently purchased the MSD 6BTM PTN(6462). Im running the older paxton sn93 supercharger and usually gets newhere from 7-10lbs of boost. I picked up this box because i wanted to be able to adjust the timing inside of my vehicle. Pretty nice system but a expensive price tag, just over $400. Sorry but i just sold the MSD 6A box but i still do have the MSD Multi-Stage Retard For Sale. U Intrested In Selling that PowerPipe?

No not right now at least. I want to keep the set up the way it is, I just need a huge maf for it. I just don't know what to get.

You need to prevent pre ignition, a SC raises the effective compression and greatly increases the heat of the incoming air charge. Both of those push you closer to detonation.
I run about 1.25-1.5 degrees per pound retard which would be about 15 degrees retard at 10-12# of boost (the 6BTM maxes out at 15 retard regardless). I'd really like to get some of that 15 degrees of retard back but without some type of intake cooling or higher octane fuel, I'm not willing to take that chance. Try it without a retard and see if you get pinging
