so i think i am going to find me a 4 banger and turn it into a project. i guess it just depends on if i can find something in good shape....im still thinking about getting one with a decent 5.0 so i don't have to find a motor transmission and rear end and all that stuff....what would you need to do a complete swap?

i know ujslost just did this swap not too long ago. he kept a blog about it through most of the process.

i know you would have to have a double hump crossmember, and most likely the harness and computer if youre going to stay efi. im not exactly sure on exactly what you need but im sure ujslost will tell you. but he went carburated

if you're going fuel injected then you'll still need fuel lines, brakes, suspension components, i think you'll also need a double hump crossmember and several other things along with engine, transmission, rear end, computer, exhaust, etc. i don't know what all is involved in an LS1 swap though, but you'd be better off money wise, simplicity wise, and even power wise if you build up a fuel injected 408 windsor and drop in it

im still here Just find you a cheap 5.0 and build it play with the 302 for a while with some nitrous and a few bolt ons while saving for a carbed 408 conversion with your choice of transmissin. and build the 8.8
