Lost Again

Okay, when buying a new Mass air, do i just need the metal housing or the plug that goes on top? I was reading about the 30lb. injectors that i am looking at and it comes with a 80mm tube and you use the stock plug on top of it. Does that sound right?

And with a 75mm throttle body and EGR, would the 80mm tube work? i dont really understand so be gentle when explaining this. LOL, Thanks guys.

Any size will work. Bigger obviously allows more air thru. What brand are you looking at?

If your talking about a C&L 80mm it has a calibration tube for each injector size, unlike the PRO-M (PMAS) meters which use recalibrated electronics to fool the ECM. You reuse your stock electronics with the C&L.

C&L for the mass air, accufab for the throttle body and EGR, and not really sure about what brand injectors to get. If you have heard anything bad about these products or have recommendations, let me know. Or if you know a good site that sells all of this stuff instead of buying it from everywhere, that would be good too.

I just didnt know if i had to match all the sizes. Like get 75mm everything or if this setup would work.

I'd steer clear of C&L. I've run into alot of driveability issues with those meters.

http://www.coolblueperformance.com/i...&MMP=101521541

Found that... Now at the bottom of the page it says will not work with cold air induction or whatever... I dont have one, so thats good. So do i just use the stock black tube from the throttle body, then get rid of the air box, and plug this thing up?

Once again, not sure on how to calibrate to the injectors. What lb. injectors would work best with this?

Tony, contact Marv at http://candmperformance.com/ or Bob at http://www.kurganmotorsports.com/

Either one will set you up with the parts you need at a good price.

I actually would. Think about it. Its not on this thread but somewhere i have listed everything that I am doing to it. Its not just the MAF, tb, and injectors. I really dont want to list it all again, but if you want to know, just say so and i'll do it

If you give him accurate details, anything Bob Kurgan tells you will be accurate. For those that live a sheltered life, Bob Kurgan is the winningest and most well known NMRA Renegade racer of all time. Some love him, some hate him but one thing is for sure Bob knows EFI Mustangs and I doubt you will find anybody that will ever contest that. Bob will take care of you.

Well I did find your post on what you have and will be getting, you still will be lucky if you hit the 350hp range at the most!! And remember thats at the flywheel and you have an automatic so you will lose quite a bit more hp at the wheels than a stick car. might put 260-280 to the ground if you are lucky. Work with what you have when you are in school and on a tight budget. Good luck and keep moddin!!!1

What is your proposed combination Tony? I can't remember what the other post was where you talked about it.

This is from darrell to somebody else.
A fail proof combination that will make 320+hp at the wheels with a stock computer and no tuning and still retain good fuel economy is:

- Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads
- Trick Flow TFS-51402001 hydraulic roller cam
- Trick Flow Track Heat or Edelbrock RPM or RPM II intake
- 65-70mm throttle body (you could get away with the stock piece if you wanted to save a few bucks)
- Any cold air kit will work but the only one that is worth spending the money on is an Anderson Power Pipe. Its alot bigger, more functional, better looking, better fitting and the rubber connectors are much better.
- Long tube headers (BBK makes some nice headers for the price)

All this will work good with a stock lower end. I've used this combination a few times and always made 320+hp at the wheels.

Now considering I am getting better heads, SWAPPING to a T5 that is in my other mustang, Adding a 347 Street Fighter Pro Street Stroker Kit.

You do the math man.
If Darrell's fail proof system puts 320 to the wheels, i hate to admit it, but i'll be puttin just a little more. Especially with the dyno tuned and a chip. you must not have found the right mods man.
